How to Find a Secure Password

Do your email or ptc accounts often get hacked? Maybe you should create a stronger and more secure password to protect your accounts.

Account hackers often don’t need any malware to detect your passwords. Many hacked accounts have one very simple reason: The password was weak.

The biggest mistake you can do is thinking, that only hackers want to access and steal your accounts. Most frauds are done by people you considered as friends that want to have a little revenge by stealing some money or just tease you a bit.
Therefore, it is utterly important to NOT use a simple word that has an even more simple relation to you, e.g. your first name, your birthday or your dog’s name. Information like this is often easily accessible to many people.

The second biggest mistake is to use words, that many other people consider as great passwords – but in fact, they are great fails and a great risk. Best examples are the words “god” and “sex” as passwords.

But what is a secure password?
That is quite easy. You have to find a word, that probably no one else will ever imagine or “invent”.

The most easy way to find such a word is shortening a sentence or phrase.
For example, if you like Elvis Presley, shorten the sentence “I like Elvis Presley” to the “ilep”.
As “ilep” is not a real word, no one will probably ever think about using that to enter your account.

You can even improve its strenght by using capital letters where appropriate: IlEP is more secure than ilep.

If you want to improve this, try adding numbers and special characters.
For example, you could shorten the sentence “I love my two bunnies and my dog” into “Ilm2b&md”. That’s more more secure than using the dog’s name, don’t you think?
