The more we use our computers on the internet, the more are they vulnerable to virus and malware. There are hackers looking out to get your data. There are many security suites available in the market and most of you use either McAfee or Norton to protect your system. But is that enough.
A complete suite should be able to catch real time intrusion of virus and hack attempts. It should contain a firewall, an antivirus, and real-time scanning of the computer ports. Though the McAfee and Norton offer you real time monitoring for virus and also provide a firewall, they take up much memory in the computer thereby making your computer slow! Hence many of us switch to antivirus such as AVG or anything similar. But most of these software lack the support of a good firewall. A Firewall protects your computer from the many unknown computers on the same and associated networks. It is just like you are behind an armor should anyone attempt to attack you.
Whatever antivirus you use, make sure you are also using some good firewall. Most of us do not think much about firewall. The firewall that comes with the Windows is not pretty dependable.
