I recently lost a computer of mine to an online trojan virus. It made me very angry. So i have decided to help you avoid this same problem. If you dont have a firewall on your computer I suggest you get one. There are many different virus protection programs out there. The prices can run from free to over 200$. I suggest that you choose one that pertains to your needs. If you just surf the internet for fun, than you  can just run a very simple virus scan. If you do your banking online, or have an online account i suggest that you get a somewhat stronger system.  You might want to go with macafee or Norton Antivirus.

These programs may be a bit more pricey but you are paying for the safety of your online identity. These programs will include a Firewall, a virus scan, a security center, and a list that you can create to block certain sites on your computer. This might also be helpful if you have kids in the house and want to block innapropriate websites. These programs will take a little bit to download but they will be useful in the longrun. The firewall on these programs should be able to pick up anything from the common pop-up, to the most complex trojan. Trojans can be the worst type of virus for a computer. It can take all of your personal details from your computer and then crash it so there is no way to recover it to trace the virus.
