Our life is like a personal computer that is prone to virus attack. Read on to learn how we can counter these viruses.
Anti-Virus

“Look deep into my heart, God, and find out everything I am thinking. Don’t let me folow evil ways, but lead me in the way that time has proven true” –Psalms 139:23-24
One day my computer became problematic, it ran slower than usual and showed a lot of pop-ups. Some programs were also not functioning well. I asked my friend, a computer expert, to look at my PC. After exploring what went wrong, he said some virus infected my system.
He immediately downloaded an anti-virus software. After he thoroughly scanned the system, he was able to delete and remove all the virus infections from my PC. Now I am happy that it is working normally again.
Like the anti-virus program that fixed my computer, God’s Spirit has the power to look deep into our hearts and clean it from all distractions, dysfunctions, garbage, and sin. He knows that our hearts are prone to infection by spiritual viruses — anger, pride, unbelief, lust, rebellion, bitterness, selfishness, etc. When our hearts get infected this way, we live lives inconsistent with who we are meant to be, thus hurting God and the people around us.
Like my PC, I am “virus-prone”, too. I still make mistakes and download the wrong stuff. The good news is I can always come to God and ask Him to search me, change me and cleanse me.
As a conclusion, I am saying that you have to download God’s Spirit. Invite Him to scan your heart and mind. Ask Him to show you what stuff you are doing in your life that brings pain, damages others, and offend God. Allow Him to clean your heart and give you power to do the right thing again.

I knew that God’s antivirus is a freeware which doesn’t even charge any amount but could be continually updated for a lifetime.Nice point of view. Thanks for sharing my friend.
A great lesson for us all. Good work.

The best anti-virus program & it’s free!
Wow very nice easy to understand and absorb =D 10/10
great work papaleng, a very simply analogy yet so effective and true.
Amen!
Nice example of how God freely gives of himself to free us from our own downfalls
Yes, he can fix all that ails us. If we give all our cares over to him, he will set us free. Great job!
Simply great
Good article, thanks.
You are a favored one with this.
well done,
Really good comparison. I like it.
Nice analogy. The only thing I would say is that a computer responds automatically, whereas we gotta want it bad enough to change. Also, some viruses will not be removed by anti-virus downloads. Our consequences for our sins may still be there, even when the sin is removed from us.
Great article, and metaphor, I like the comparison
Very well written (:

Great article!
Papaleng,
I enjoyed your comparison. At first i thought your article was only about a computer problem. I enjoyed how you tied it together.
Blessings,
