They approach the days of the consumer electronics trade show event of the year, the CES 2012, and as usual, before it come all sorts of information and rumors of products likely to be encountered, some even show most of characteristics before its official launch. This is the case of the new Acer Aspire One D270, Acer’s first netbook to carry the new Intel Atom chips for netbooks, plus a set of interesting specifications.

At this point you may wonder what is special about the new family of Intel Atom Cedar Trail chips. Major improvements are in the graphics processing (it doubles the graphics power) and energy (up to 20% less than the previous version), and improve power. The processor of this computer from Acer will be the Intel Atom N2600, a 1.6 GHz dual-core power and has a GPU (graphics processor) to 640 MHz. This processor has the possibility of using Hyper-Threading to work as if we had four cores instead of two.

One of the weaknesses of the Acer Aspire One D270 is that it only has 1 GB of RAM base (although Acer is expected to improve this item for a few euros). The computer screen is 10.1″, with a resolution that will improve the 1024 x 600 pixels of the previous version of the Acer netbook. It is also hoped that has an HDMI output, Bluetooth and WiFi. Also speculates that having two operating systems at once, both Android and Windows 7.

The Acer Aspire One D270 would come out with a three-cell battery or a six-cell (not yet known how long the battery will give self). The price is 250 euros for the three-cell version and 270 euros for the version with six cells. It is the only netbook that will be presented at CES 2012. A field that seemed to disappear but has received the push from manufacturers such as Acer and Lenovo’s own, it will launch its Lenovo IdeaPad S110.
